Desi The Bulldog Knows This Cupcake Is Very Suspect

When it’s somebody’s birthday and they ask for a birthday cake, you give them an actual cake, not a cupcake. Some would argue that it’s semantics. After all, a cupcake is just a smaller and cup-shaped piece of cake. But for others, there’s a difference and not acknowledging it could drastically change one’s birthday celebration. That probably explains why Desi the bulldog is so upset. He doesn’t care what hoops his human jumped through to get him a special dog-friendly cupcake (or “pupcake”) for his birthday. He wanted an actual sheet cake, one that he could stuff his face in. As a result, Desi doesn’t want anything to do with his birthday treat. In fact, he even thinks it’s an abomination to all desserts and starts growling and pouncing at the baked good, questioning why it’s still here even though he clearly doesn’t want it. It’s also safe to assume that Desi is taking his anger out on the cupcake because he feels just a wee bit self-conscious about getting older. It’s okay, Desi. If you don’t want to eat that cupcake, we will. Here’s hoping the rest of your birthday celebration was cupcake-free.
