Bulldog Tries To Bully His Way To A Diploma

Who has time for school? Not I said this Bulldog

Why not steal rather than study?

During graduation back in June at the University of Puerto Rico at Mayagüez Cristina Ruiz was receiving her diploma.

During the ceremony its customary to have your photo taken with the school mascot who happens to be a bulldog named Tarzan.

During this photoshoot Tarzan decided he would like to have the diploma back. Tarzan then decided to try and take a bite out of it.

You would think Ruiz was upset because the bulldog chewed up her diploma but she actually though it was quite funny . It doesn't hurt that everyone at the school loves Tarzan along with Ruiz as well.

She decided it actually made the diploma all that more special. It was like a proverbial cherry on the top
At the university they even have huge statue of Tarzan
In the picture below you can see Ruiz even recreating that moment with the giant Tarzán statue mentioned earlier.

Marine Corps Recruit Depot Welcomes Their Newest Mascot

Back in July the Marine Corps Recruit Depot(MCRD) recently welcomed its newest mascot, an English Bulldog named Manny.

Manny turns one on July 9 and is one of the Corps' biggest ambassadors. He shows up to weekly graduations, where families see their new Marine after a 13-week bootcamp. The pup lives with Cpl. Christian Garcia, a young Marine from Texas who works on training Manny.

“Manny is from Fallbrook and he’s named in honor of Johnny R Manuelito. He was one of the original Navajo code talkers who helped develop and teach the code that helped win Iwo Jima and many other battles,” Garcia said.

Many of the military’s 400 Code Talkers were stationed at MCRD and are largely credited with helping win World War II.

Manny will be taking over for Cpl. Smedley Butler, the previous English Bulldog. Smedly will now be retiring in December along with his handler, Sgt. Anthony Leite.

“It’s bittersweet. It’s been a really great experience but it was his time. He worked hard for the last five years. It was well worth it for him. He earned it.”

Cpl. Butler was named after General Smedley Butler, who at the time, was the most decorated Marine during World War I.

The English Bulldog breed was chosen because during that time they were seen as scary and referred to as "devil dogs by the Germans during WW2. They then used the image of the bulldog in campaign and recruitment posters for the Corps.

He’s also got a playful side Garcia said.

“The English Bulldog is strong, hard-headed, very committed to the task at hand,” he said. “We call him 'wiggle butt' sometimes. He’ll just love every person who comes over and lick their face.”

Manny will be at MCRD for the next four years, serving his time like the other Marines.

A series of pictures show from the defense visual information distribution service (dvids) show Manny patrolling grounds.

3.British Bulldog Game

Britain has always been fanatical about Bulldog's so its no surprise that this is considered Britain favorite game.
In this game the runners have to make it safely across the playground by avoiding the Bulldog.
The teachers in the game can help, but if the runners(players) get caught it’s “British Bulldog”! for them.
Other details:
One player starts by moving the Runners by rolling a number die and a direction die. Another player moves the Bulldog a number of squares restricted by how many runners have been caught to date. If all the runners make it safely across the playground without being caught that player is the winner; if the Bulldog catches all the runners then that player is the winner.
There are extra teacher squares which offer protection for the runners as the Bulldog cannot enter or pass through these squares.
The game introduces elements of both chess and draughts, and combines luck with strategy making it an easy game to learn but with additional depth for older players.

Did You Know There Is A Bulldog Superhero?

What Are Lockjaw's Origin and Background?

Did you know that there is a bulldog superhero! He first appeared in Fantastic Four #45 (December 1965), and was created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby. Lockjaw, the bulldog superhero, is a unique and endearing character that has captured the hearts of comic book enthusiasts worldwide.

Lockjaw hails from the Inhuman city of Attilan on the Blue Area of the Moon, where he was exposed to the Terrigen Mists—a transformative substance that grants superhuman abilities to Inhumans. Originally a mere bulldog named Lockjaw, he was subjected to the Terrigen Mists, resulting in a remarkable transformation. Lockjaw gained incredible strength, durability, and the power of teleportation. His iconic tuning fork-shaped antenna adorning his forehead became a symbol of his newfound abilities.

What Powers And Abilities Does Lockjaw Have?

So now that there is a superhero bulldog. You may be wondering what are his powers? For starters he is an extremely large bulldog. Wikipedia lists his powers as being teleportation, precognition, super canine jaw strength and matter ingestion. Apparently he eats things like robots for food. I'll bet you that he also has the worst farts of any bulldog in the universe as well. This I find to be an overlooked superhero ability. He teleports himself and others across vast distances. This skill allows him to traverse dimensions, making him an invaluable asset to various superhero teams, including the Inhumans, the Fantastic Four, and the Avengers. Lockjaw's teleportation ability is not only impressive but also essential in a multitude of high-stakes situations, providing his allies with a strategic advantage.

Lockjaw's strength and durability are equally noteworthy. As a result of the Terrigenesis process, he possesses enhanced physical attributes, allowing him to withstand formidable attacks and lift objects far beyond the capabilities of an ordinary bulldog. This combination of teleportation, strength, and durability make Lockjaw a formidable force on the battlefield.

Where can you see lockjaw?

You can find lockjaw in Marvel comic books. Mostly in the Inhumans comic books and most recently in the Inhumans tv show

If I ever do get around to watching the Inhumans tv show it'll be because of this guy!

Bulldog Knocks Over Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, the U.S. Representative for New York's 14th congressional district, was participating in a conference call last summer in the Bronx when an enthusiastic English bulldog named Charlie, one of her loyal supporters from Parkchester, spotted her during a walk.

A video shared on Twitter, posted in celebration of #NationalLoveYourPetDay, captures the moment when Charlie, clearly smitten with Ocasio-Cortez, decided to offer his greetings. In a heartwarming scene, the affectionate pup playfully knocked the congresswoman over onto a street grate, prompting laughter from Ocasio-Cortez as Charlie showered her with affectionate licks.

Comedian Simone Norman, who shared the video, humorously interjected with, "Charlie, she's on a call!" on the recording.

Twitter users, as expected, quickly responded with their share of political humor. Some quipped about the influence of "Big Kibble" sending its top lobbyists, while others praised dogs' innate ability to judge character. A few even drew parallels to an incident involving President Trump and a bald eagle during a Time magazine photoshoot.

Ocasio-Cortez took the playful encounter in stride, reposting the video on her Twitter account and affectionately referring to it as a "snuggle ambush."

One can only hope that Charlie, the bulldog, emerged from the encounter unscathed and in good spirits.

Sleepy French Bulldog Struggles To Stay Awake

Adorable clips of the snoozing French Bulldog have gone viral on social media

Most dogs get excited when they get to go outside for a trip. But Effie is a 3 month old Blue Sable & Tan French Bulldog.

You can watch as she struggles to stay awake. Bored maybe? Maybe its too early in the morning for her and she didn't get enough beauty sleep. She looks like she can fall asleep anywhere.

She is in the car as she goes for a Sunday morning drive with her dad to get a coffee. Looks like she could use a cup as well!
